And they're off, take two....

My original first post disappeared into the ether when I initially tried to send it from a restaurant just outside Masaka town. It recounted the beginning of our journey with Taylor and I meeting in Amsterdam, after our flights from San Francisco and Seattle. She enjoyed first class while I was happy I had an empty seat next to me.  Our flight to Kigale and on to Entebbe was uneventful.  We arrived,  along with our checked luggage,  safely. After exchanging our dollars for Ugandan shillings,  we made a bee line for the exit.  Sister Noelina was waiting for us with open arms and two lovely bouquets of roses. She has not changed much in the last 13 years. Her easy smile and enthusiasm made us feel instantly at ease. She and Sister Imelda led us back to the car and we set off through the night for the Ulrika Guest House. Luckily, there was very little traffic and we soon arrived at the guest house. A quick cup of tea to catch up a bit then off to bed for our first night in Uganda.
